At UT Health San Antonio Multispecialty and Research Hospital, our financial services team is here to help you and your family find ways to cover the cost of your care. Our financial counselors can assist with paying bills, estimating care costs and talking about financial assistance programs.
UT Health San Antonio accepts most major health insurance plans. If you’re not sure if we accept your insurance, please call our financial counselors at 210-450-6330.
We encourage you to call your health insurance company (at the phone number on the back of your insurance card) to check if they cover your UT Health San Antonio appointments, tests, or procedures.

Our financial counselors are here to offer help and explain finance options like payment plans or financial assistance. They can talk with you to see if you qualify for financial assistance or help set up a payment plan.
Payment plans can make your hospital bill easier to pay. With most plans, you pay smaller amounts over a period of time. You can choose a plan that works best for you and your family.

Wait for us to contact you. During pre-registration for your hospital stay, our registration staff may find that you need a financial counselor. They will make a referral, and a financial counselor will set up an appointment with you. You will need to speak to a financial counselor if you do not have health insurance or if you are underinsured.
